Summer Break, Bexhill & Hastings – Kodak ColorPlus 200
I grew up in East Sussex and each summer I enjoy visiting family who still live there. Bexhill and Hastings are also a couple of coastal places I like to visit. I particularly like Hastings Old Town with its colourful array of shop fronts and antique shop (and the beach of course). This time, I loaded my Canon EOS-3 film SLR camera with Kodak ColorPlus 200 35mm film. I think the colours captured by this budget film were rather pleasant. Certainly good enough for casual viewing and for the fun of shooting with 35mm film. I would certainly use it again. And it scans really easily.
Here is a small selection of my favourite images
For those interested, all photos were captured with the Canon EOS-3 SLR film camera and the 50mm f/1.8 lens, and Kodak ColorPlus 200 colour 35mm film. Negatives were scanned using the Minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400 film scanner and saved as RAW tiff files using VueScan. Positive images were created in Photoshop using a custom preset, and small tonal and exposure adjustments were made afterwards in Adobe Camera Raw.
