Alex and Ash got married at Hatton Village Hall, which is set in the Warwickshire countryside. If you’re planning a wedding at a rural venue in Warwickshire, you’ll love this post. One of my first jobs as a wedding photographer was at Hatton Village Hall, and I was looking forward to shooting Alex and Ash’s wedding.
I can remember meeting this lovely couple for coffee in Second Cup on New Street, Birmingham, about a year earlier. Ash told me that he works in The British Army, which I soon remembered on the wedding day when he turn-up in his military uniform.
After an intimate wedding ceremony, the guests enjoyed handmade pizza from a portable oven outside the village hall.
When the wedding breakfast was over, I took Alex and Ash outside for some photos. We walked along the country lanes towards some open fields, where we stopped and went inside for photos. They looked great lying together in the grass. I really like these pictures.
After taking some time out from the day’s festivities, we headed back to the wedding venue. A play bus for the children had arrived once we got back, so we went inside to take more photos, but this time of Alex and Ash messing around with some guests.
The wedding reception started early to give guests plenty of time for eating, drinking, and dancing. But as soon as the feasting stopped, the guests started to dance, and the party started to swing!
Throughout the evening, children played with retro video game consoles. These were set up at the back of the hall. Yet, the adults had just as much fun with the games as did the kids!
