In recent years we have headed off to Blackpool in October to view the illuminations. This time I took my Canon EOS-3 (and 50mm f1.8 lens) instead of my Contax G2, with a selection of budget colour film (i.e., Fuji C200) and a few rolls of out-of-date Kodak 400TX black & white film. Even though the Fuji film was cheap – it still produced some decent images. We only stayed for the weekend, but I managed to captures some nice shots.

Here is a small selection of my favourite images

For those interested, all photos were taken with the Canon EOS-3 SLR and 50mm f1.8 lens, and Fuji C200 35mm colour film and Kodak 400TX black & white film. Negatives were scanned with VueScan using the Minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400 film scanner. Small tonal and exposure adjustments were made in Adobe Camera Raw.
