On Saturday I returned to the wonderful Avoncroft Museum to photograph the wedding of Tess and Tom. During the ceremony, which was conducted by Tess’ mother, the couple had their hands tied together in an act called handfasting. This centuries-old practice symbolized their connection and devotion to one another.
Spirits were high and not even the mixed weather could spoil their day. We must have experienced four seasons in one day, yet Tess and Tom laughed and smiled through it all.
Avoncroft Museum has so many wonderful buildings to explore it really didn’t matter what the weather was like. In fact the changing weather made the photos even more dramatic. I especially love the photos of Tess and Tom taking a ride on the miniature railway.
Here are a few of my favourite photos from their wedding day.
