Taking photos at weddings when people are completely unaware of my
presence is what I enjoy best. The situation is uninterrupted, the picture is unplanned,
but the result captures a moment that cannot be staged.
I love wedding photography. Getting immersed in someones big day by joining in the fun helps client's to relax, which helps me take pictures that better
reflects clients' true feelings for each other on their special day.
Every wedding has its joyous moments, which are often spontaneous, where
you can't help but laugh. Being experienced, observant and one step
ahead is the only way to capture those magical moments.
I have known Charlotte for a while, and was happy to photograph her marriage to Rod at a lovely church in Worcestershire. The wedding reception afterwards at a country pub in Stonehall was equally delightful.
What a fun couple and wedding! We had a great day at Grafton Manor, just outside Birmingham. The weather
was lovely, and the best man's speech was very memorable - if you know
what I mean ;)
I often photograph weddings around Birmingham and the Midlands for clients living in London. This was true for Qian and Matt. After a church wedding, we all went to Nuthurst Grange. The grounds here are perfect for cosy portraits.
I was fortunate with the weather in Washington DC, and autumn was a good time to visit. DC protesters and shootings at the White House (as well as the culture of course) made for a very memorable visit.
I'm not use to hot weather living in the Midlands, but Puerto Rico was fantastic. The colours and charm of San Juan made taking pictures easy. The people were so friendly and inviting, which is clearly evident in this gallery.
Apart from wedding photography, I enjoy travelling. I have been to Barcelona a few times. There is so much to do and see in such a small city. Fans of Surrealism (like me) will love the museums dedicated to Gaudi, Miró and Dali.
